Dell Latitude E7270 no bluetooth
Hi there. I am new here.
Yesterday, I received an refurbished Dell Latitude E7270. I never owned any Dell product.
When I received the laptop, it had Windows 11 64-bit installed by the shop. I inspected things. It had 2 unknown devices not installed.
I do remember not seeing bluetooth listed in the device tree of Device Manager.
The BIOS version was 1.13.5. I went to the Dell website and downloaded the 1.18 but it refused to install because it couldn't read the SMBIOS tables.
So I downloaded the Dell Support Assist tool, which installed newdrivers even a bios not listed on the webside. The BIOS is now 1.36.3.
The wireless card installed is Intel AC 8260. The Intel site says it indeed it supports bluetooth. The Bluetooth is ticked in the BIOS.
I searched about the problem but I didn't find any relevant solution for the problem. There is no Bluetooth hotkey. There at least someone that says the problem is solved by replacing the AC 8260 by AX200 (I will probably do this if the problem isn't solved).
I ended up reinstalling Windows. The installation was fine. There were some devices not installed. Windows Update listed lots of devices. I dealed with PCs/laptops in the past from other manufacturers and I never seen such huge list of devices, even so, not all were installed. I used Dell Support Assist which downloaded some drivers, but not installed all. I had to go to Windows Update/optional and install some devices.
I just tried a Linux distro and apparently it also can't see bluetooth.
So what can I do?
