Putting multiple monitors on Dell latitude e7270
Hi, so I have 2 monitor that I want to connect to my Dell latitude e7270 laptop. And I am using an adapter male hdmi to 2 female hdmi to connect both of my monitors. But 1 monitor will ended up could not show the display. So what to solution here?
And can I connect both monitor separately? Means, dell latitude e7270 have 2 display input which are hdmi and mini displayport. Can I connect 1 of my monitor through the hdmi and the other one connects through mini displayport?
Sorry for my bad English-speaking.
Hope anyone can help me.
Thank you

@h4z An adapter that has a single male HDMI and two female HDMI outputs will not allow you to run two displays in Extend mode. That is a splitter that would only duplicate the HDMI signal to both displays. The reason for this limitation is that HDMI outputs do not support running multiple separate displays from a single output.
In terms of options, yes you can connect one display via Mini-DisplayPort and the other display via HDMI. But I don’t know what the maximum supported resolution is for the HDMI output. It might be 2560x1440, but could also be as low as 1080p. It would not run 4K 60 Hz. The Mini-DisplayPort output would support 4K 60 Hz.
Another option you might want to consider if both of your displays have a DisplayPort input would be a Mini-DisplayPort MST hub. That would connect to your Latitude’s Mini-DisplayPort output and give you two DisplayPort outputs for your displays. That device WOULD allow you to run the displays in Extend mode, because DisplayPort and Mini-DisplayPort CAN run multiple separate displays from a single output. In this setup, both of your displays could be up to 2560x1440.
The only benefit to this option would be that you would only have to connect/disconnect one cable for both displays rather than two separate cables.
