KDE Requests:
I want copying of KDE on my Inspiron 6000 and keep Windows XP, so I had bad experience with hard finding download KDE software. I do not know how to do copy of KDE download to my dell laptop. Please instruct a step to step installment of KDE. My permission release you release information to KDE people help me with KDE installment information. - I highly recomend Kubuntu if you wish to use KDE. Ive had it on a multitude of machines and it seems to get better and better with every version. In fact once i get over my problems installing WinXP on my Vostro 1500 my next step is to put Kubuntu on it for everything other than games. Its kinda amusing actually that i had no problems starting an old 6.06 LTS cd on it but XP and Vista have both proven to be absolute nightmares lol.

KDE is a desktop, not a complete system. Like Gnome is a desktop and not a complete sytem. You have to install a version of Linux on your computer. You can have KDE AND Gnome ( and other desktops). Have a look at http://apcmag.com/6101/dualboot_windows_xp_and_ubuntu.
Ubuntu is Gnome based and the KDE version is called Kubuntu. You can either install Ubuntu first and then put KDE on it, or install Kubuntu instead and not have Gnome.
