Linux with dell and hybrid graphic
Hi,
This is my first post and:emotion-1:
I install GNU/Linux Debian in my Dell XPS 15 and trying to connect laptod with monitor between HDMI. Any person use this configuration. Because I search for all inet and its impossible.
I think because the default graphic card is intel and HDMI is connect with nvidia graphic, but if install drivers nvidia not work.
Or is possible to disabled intel graphic in BIOS for the default grahic its Nvidia,

Might wanna check and see if /etc/X11/xorg.conf has the nvidia driver as the driver to be used.
if not I would go to the nvidia website and install the proprietary driver while in init3 (runlevel 3). Plus most of the nvidia drivers have a configuration GUI that you can use. such as nvidia-settings.

I search more information about this problem and the information that I wanet, all, say that the problem is :
* the privative drivers of Nvidia for Linux not support the hybrid graphics and they says that not support for a long time :-(
* the drivers off nouve ( a the moment ) not support the hybrid...
At the moment I working with Windows :emotion-9: but when hybrid working with linux I change inmediatly.

Yikes, didn't know about the optimus (hybrid) issue.
I'm sorry about the lack of support for nvidia drivers on the XPS 15,
I did some searching myself and found a project dedicated to giving acelerated graphics functions for optimus nivida cards.
Might be worth looking into.
