Dell usually uses up all chassi`s and parts and moves into the next build model. You might try searching the net to see if you can find a good used one.

I bought two alienware systems new but like you I wanted an area 51 and so I had to buy it used. I got it off ebay and I am extremely happy with it. The one thing I will tell you Royal is that be prepared to hit a brick wall when upgrading the processor. Right now I have the first generation intel processor its a i7960quad core and it runs all games of this generation fine for now but in a year or two I might not be able to run them. In order to get a better processor I have to get a new motherboard but changing the motherboard could make the alienware lighting (fx) and thermal controls inoperative. So for now I'm just going to stick it out with my components and wait for the new stuff to get a little cheaper before I take the risk of buying new components and then having them not work. I love my alienware area 51 and hope someday they bring the area 51 back with a new and even sexier chassis. One thought of upgrading I had was to buy a new aurora and then swap all the components except for the lighting board into the area 51 chassis and seeing if I maintain full functionality but its gonna be a while before I can do that. Hopefully someone buys an ivy bridge motherboard and gets it to work with their area 51 and can post how they did it and I can go that route instead. I hope you can find an area 51 out there, its alienwares coolest looking chassis ever in my opinion.
