adding FireWire card

I have a new 8200 and want to be able to transfer my DV tapes to CD and convert to DVD playable format. I have heard this is possible. First, what is the best way to go? - install an IEEE 1394 card? or use the ADS Instant DVD device? Also, what are the best devices and software for the money? Thanks

Hello-Keep in mind that an inexpensive firewire card will also let you add external hard drives, CDRW drives and other devices at a pretty decent data transfer rate.
