It is a Dell Inspiron 530 running Windows Vista. Tried using disk that came with computer with no luck.

Is the power button LED, Steady Blue, Blinking Blue, Steady Amber, Blinking Amber?

 Are there any 'Beeps', or error messages, if there are, please post the exact text of the message and how many 'Beeps'?

Have you made any changes to the 530 recently?

The LED light is a steady blue. There is one beep and then nothing, the screen just freexes with the Dell symbol in the middle of the screen, a task bar just below it with a blue line halfway across and in the bottom right corner it says press F2 set-up and F12 Boot Options, but we can't get it to do anything. We haven't made any changes to it at all. My grandchildren played games on it online at Nick Jr on the 20th and had no problems. But when my husband tried to do something on it the other day this is when we discovered the problem.
