i have a slot on my motherboard for a second processor not sure which motherboard i have or bios version i have proccesor type Dual-Core Intel® Xeon® 5140 2.33GHz, what do i need to buy or do in order to have 2 processors in this pc....thnks

Hi,
In this case, this is the processor installed on your system is XEON WOODCREST,80556K,(Dell part no :WJ544) and the heat sink dell part no:FD841 which can be of use when you contact the external vendor (To view the details of the system click on this link )
Note:Before you purchase the processor do buy the heat sink as its difficult to find one .

Hi,
In this case the system supports a secondary processor,but then the secondary processor that you are planning to install should have entirely the same specifications of the primary processor and it should be installed with the heat sink assembly.
If you can send the service tag of the system via private message I can look into the details of the system to advise the processor part no and you may contact an external vendor for the part .
