PLease if anyone can help it would be great. I have the item listed above and I have gotten a error that says unmountable_boot_volume. have done the diagnostics on my destop and I get a fail on the prmary IDE the paperwork stated that if this happens I will more then likely have to replace my hard drive. I no longer have the warrenty on my desktop due to finances. Is there anything else that can be done and if not what would be the estimated cost to have this repaired...I am not a happy camper right now.....

When the IDE hard drive has failed diagnostics, you need to replace it.
You can use any 3.5" IDE/EIDE, 7200rpm PATA hard drive. Seagate and Western Digital brands of IDE hard drives, are excellent.

It would cost less to buy and install the hard drive, followed by reinstalling XP yourself, but if you are not comfortable with this, take the PC to a local computer store.
