Fatal Execution Engine Error

I have a Dell desktop 8250 with XP (purchased this past December.)

I leave my computer on most of the time. Lately, when I have been away from the computer for a while I get a box in the middle of the screen which says:

Fatal Execution Engine Error (0x.7926fcd8)

When I click "ok", I then get another box which has the heading "Notify Alert.exe - Common Language Runtime Debugging Services". Then it says "Application has generated an exception that could not be handled." Process id=0x91c(2332); thread id=0x94c (2380)

I would appreciate any help.
