I've got my new dimension 9200 2 weeks ago.

 

I could start up with vista and nearly everything works ok.

 

But from the beginning the system freezes quite often during operation. It happens preferably in the first hour before it is warmed up completly, than it hangs about once per 5 minutes.

 

If it freezes, everything stands still: desktop, mousepointer, keyboard-input, even sound output keeps holding the current tone (with vibrato) for about 20-40 seconds. Then everything comes back to live - no crash, just some lost input from DVD or TV or keyboard. If i run taskmanager, it freezes too and does not reconstruct the lost seconds.

 

This is a hardware fault, is it??

 

BTW: I don't like the noisy 9200!!! I've had a 4550 before that was much, much calmer! The 9200 rumples (disks) and chatters (case) - even if it looks nice...
