PC name changed automatically?

I just found that the 'PC name' (under 'About' section) of my desktop changed-I didn't change it.

Previous name was 'Desktop-QQxxxxx' while it suddenly becomes 'Desktop-7Bxxxxx' now.

What would be the reason that it changes & under what situation will it change?

Name it what you want--open Settings, About, Rename it. That name will stick. An update might have changed your generic name.

Thank you! I found out that the name change was due to my resetting the PC back to factory setting. That should be the reason for the new name.
