Do a PC Restore on the system... when you start the computer, inmediatly hold down Ctrl key and then start pressing F11 at least 5 times, you will access PC restore and restore the computer to the first day you got it... nice way of doing OR you can request the Cds from dell... what ever you want to do.

Call Dell customer service.  Tell them you want all of your CDs, politely ask for them under the 'Media Reduction Initiative'.  If you are successfully, they will be sent to you for free via 2-day Fedex.

In worst case scenario, pay them $10 to send you the Microsoft XP (or Media Center) operating system reinstallation CD.

They will send you the CDs for the operating system that came with your computer... Try the PC restore... it works.
