weak xps 8300 wireless
i realise that the built in wireless for the xps 8300 is rather weak and causes problems once in a while. this is quite evident when i game sometimes, its nothing to do with the specs as my xps 8300's specs exceeds the recommends specs. is there a way to improve connectivity or even change the wireless card?

More likely the bad link is an old slow router or your Internet Provider. Consider buying a new Gigabit wireless router. Then position it close to the desktop and use an Ethernet cable instead of the wireless. The 8300 has a built in gigabit ethernet card. The wireless is a separate card and desktops don't usually need to be wireless since they don't move around. You can also skip the router if you have only one computer and directly connect to your broadband modem via an ethernet cable.
