Windows xp repair

Hi all

 

I had some hard disk issues, which while now fixed have left windows a little broken. However, I don't have the windows disk or restore/system disks which came with the machine.

 

Can I get replacements or are there other options?

    You can try a System Restore. Go to Start->All Programs->Accessories->System Tools->System Restore. You will be able to choose from a list of dates to restore back to. You will not lose any documents by restoring, but any applications that were installed between the restore date and today will be uninstalled.

    Thanks for the suggestion. However, that would be very hit and miss.

     

    How can I get hold of the original windows OEM CD please?

    you can call Dell and obtain a Disk. If you never received one they will ship it to you for free
