I had to reinstall Windows XP after power surges. I didn't install chip set drivers until after I had already installed Office and some other applications. Sigma Tel audio--no sound. Device Manager says everything is operating properly. I removed everything relating to audio through Device Manager. Audio Codecs Bluetooth Audio Bluetooth High Quality Audio Sigma Tel High Definition Audio Codec After reboot PNP reconfigured these devices. Device Manager says everything is okay. BIOS Integrated Audio switch is on. When I run the audio diagnostics from the Dell Resource CD, I hear analog sound right and left. but no other sound on the rest of the tests. I get these errors: 1B63:OF1B For surround sound playback. 1B63:151B Rear sound playback. 1B63:101B Center LFE. 1B63:161B Front Mic. 1B63:171B Rear Mic. I really don't want to re-install XP and start over. Any ideas?
