1150 AGP??
I just did a clean install of XP Home on my 1150 and I see no mention of AGP in device manager, I can't remember if there was an AGP listing before I formatted, can anyone with an 1150 have a look in their device manager to see if there is any mention of AGP under system devices? I have installed all the system drivers and it seems to work ok. Many thanks

Dell's web site for the 1150 system shows only the integrated video, but nothing on an agp. The 1150 is the entry level system without much of an upgrade path, and would not have anything close to a video upgrade. Some of the desktops have both integrated and agp ( Dim 4700 system ) because they are up on the performance ladder, than say the 2400 or 3000 system, which only have the integrated video and pci slot. Hope this helps- I know it's an entry level laptop and it has onboard graphics, but I'm asking should there be any mention of AGP in device manager, even PC motherboards with onboard graphics have AGP, it's just part of the motherboard even if it has no AGP slot, I'm not so sure about laptops so I'm just asking anyone that has one with XP installed by Dell if they can see any mention of AGP, I'm sure you are right but it would put my mind at ease if a 1150 owner could confirm there is no mention of AGP, I guess I should have paid more attention before I formatted it, lol

When you do a reformat and reinstall of window's xp, ( Dell supplied CD's ) you loose only the junk that Dell puts onto the system and nothing else. Your system is even better than before and should operate faster without the Dell add ons. You don't loose any hardware if that is what you are concerned about. AGP concerns are not a concern. You will be fine. Have not seen any more posts for your question, but hope someone can come onto this thread and tell you about the agp question.
What are you so worried about, when nothing will happen when you do a reformat ? You have all the cd's that came with the system, you reinstalled windows, you re-installed the device driver and Utilities and other programs that came with the system. You will be fine.
