5150 External Clock Speed

What is the External clock speed of the 5150 supposed to be?

    The internal processor speed is the product of the external clock speed of the motherboard and the multiplier used by the processor.

    So I'm guessing 533 MHz. Why, just curious?

    I also just ran a test on www.pcpitstop.com and it also says I have a 133MHz external clockspeed.

    I was curious because I thought it was supposed to be 533 as well. But I have run 3DMark03 and PCMark2002 and both tell me my external clock speed is 133mhz.

    Does anyone else get this problem?

    Oh okay then there's the multiplier thing (sorry for not knowing the name, lol) and the processor multiplies that times something to get the FSB I believe.

    It doesn't make sense to me though because my buddys computer has a fsb of 800 and when he runs all three of these tests his external clock speed is 800.

    plus there is no multiplier to make 133 be 533. It's a number with very many decimal places.

    Most benchmarks will pick up the unmultiplied bus speed.  For example, a P4 1.8 GHz processor runs on a quad pumped 100MHz bus, hence 400MHz FSB.  Your FSB is 133 MHz x 5 for 533MHz.  It is the benchmarks just seeing what is there, it's mostly a marketing gimmick on behalf of the chip makers to make them sound super fast.  It's one bus speed down a bunch of tunnels which are added together to give you a large number.  You computer is fine and you weren't ripped off.  Hope this sort of clears things up.
