Go to SolutionDell E6530 Universal Serial Bus Controller Drivers
Hello All,
I reimaged my client's laptop and I am trying to download the drivers for the Universal Serial Bus Controller. I went on the dell website and tried downloading it but it still shows up as missing.
Operating system: Windows 7 x64
I was also wondering if dell has put the correct drivers up for the operating system. I select Windows 7 x64 drivers on the webpage. When I try to install them, it gives me a "invaild operating system" error.
Please help.
Thanks.

Trying to resolve this very issue on a E6530 with Win 7 x64? Did you have any luck locating the drivers? I can't find anything within Dell's downloads and Dell Client System Update comes back with everything up to date.
My USB ports all seem to be working but I am wondering if this is related to USB 3.0 - I don't have any 3.0 devices to test to see if they work but will be purchasing an external backup drive for this laptop shortly so I will need to have it working if it is related to USB 3.0.

Hi NittanyControls,
The Dell support site does list the USB 3.0 drivers for Windows 7 x64 operating system. The Dell Driver listed as 'Urgent" under Chipset category applies for USB 3.0.
Here is the link: http://dell.to/S7uUTw
Please reply if you have any further questions.

Thanks Satya. Although that link is for the Precision T5600 I did find the download for the E6530 within the drivers listed for the system. I'm not sure how I missed it the first two times I checked previously.

Hi,
Thank you for confirming that the issue is resolved. Perhaps even I should have been more clear because if you click on that link and expand Compatibility, it does show Latitude E6530 as a compatible system. My apologies.
Please reach out if you have any further queries.
I have an XPS 15 (9530 Late 2013) that I had to downgrade to Win7x64 Enterprise. The USB driver was also my only remaining device not functioning. I went to Intel and downloaded this drive and it fixed it.

Hello Satya,
I have Dell Vostro V131 that I recently formatted. Now I have Windows 7 enterprise version. However, two of three USB ports did not work. I downloaded all the possible drivers that were available at Dell website. In the Device manager drivers for USB controller and one 'unidentified device' are found missing.
Also, though the drivers for biometric devices are shown to be properly installed, but the device does not work.
Please help.
