Inspiron E1505 will not POST

I have an Inspiron E1505 which is days past Warranty (so I can't do a Tech chat). When I press Power On, The Power goes on as does the 3 keyboard lights. They all stay on for about 4 seconds and then all go off. I need to find out what component the system is complaining about. The system had a disastrous encounter with a glass of wine in the keyboard about a month ago (the system is my niece's). I swapped laptops with her this past week and took the E1505. I disassembled it and found that the wine had not reached the MB. There was a little on the palm rest. I removed the palm rest, keyboard, display, cleaned the palm rest with distilled water, soaked the keyboard in distilled water, blew it out and let it dry. I re-assembled everything and now have the above situation. The keyboard may be the problem, but I do not want to start replacing components without knowing if they are bad or not. Also, it is not worth spending a lot of money on it. Any help on determining where/why POST is stopping after 4 seconds would be a help. Nothing happens on the display and no beeps.

There is live power to the palmrest - if the wine was located where you say it was, it likely shorted out the system board.
