Unfortunately the WWAN port on Dell Latitude E6230 cannot be used for mSATA card.

I meant the port (red arrow pointing to it in the picture) not the WWAN port.

If you search, you'll find the vast majority of those who've tried both slots report the same thing -- mSATA cards  do not work in either slot.
