Lattitude C600 EDO memory

I have a refurbished Lattitude C 600.  I am using Windows XP as my OS.

It will not boot up. I keep getting a message "EDO memory was detected in Socket O, nearest the cardbus slots. Strick F-1 to shutdown.

What do I need to do to resolve this problem?

Also I noticed about a month ago, all of the pictures I have on it have blue lines on them, they almost look like the people have blue tatoos????

Any help would be great.

Thank You.

Carol

That system is not made to use EDO memory. It uses 144 pin PC100 RAM. If by some chance you have EDO memory install remove it and replace it with the correct type of memory or send it back to where you bought it.

Hi, Thanks for trying to help. I do not have anything in the slot it's talking about , never have. Thats why I wondered why I just started getting this message. I know I can't use that kind of memory. Any other suggestions?? Carol
