Lost all Dell Software using Bitdefender
Hi i just bought a dell inspriron 1545 and was using bitdefender and it updated yesterday with a virus and i lost all my dell software that came with the laptop,i had to do a clean reinstall of windows 7 and lost everything ,is there anyone that can point in the right direction to try and retrieve the software ,i even lost my dell webcam
Just so you will know, you did not actually get a virus, Bit Defender uploaded a bad update which caused it to read just about every program and start up exe as a False Trojan 5, It basically made most users computers unusable without running a windows system repair, and some had to do a complete reinstall...Bit defender really screwed up and now is making a patch available for users and all the files that were placed in quarantine...My 1747 had to perform a system repair in Windows 7 just to get me back up....They are in deep trouble at the moment..they have lots of explaining to do over the weeks ahead......
