My son has the Inspiron 15 and we have had some issues. About 2-3 months ago his laptop stopped workind and called tech support and was advised his warranty was going to expire so he purchased the extention.We sent it back was told it was the motherboard and it was replaced and returned all was fine for about 3 weeks. He called again and told them what happend and they said it was the motherboard so we followed the same steps as before got it back on 7/30/12. He was attending a leadership conference for his fraternity and it happend again. I called support and they were apologetic and said option 1 was to upgrade   warranty to onsite to insure it is fixed properly and the way it was put to me was a free upgrade. I was not happy with that because it should be fixed correctly if it is sent out or done in my home so I asked for a manager and that didn't help. He said to compensate for the inconvience I could have a 1 time only in home service. I explained to him about my previuos conversation and was told No!No!No! never free so I asked for his manager same story asked for a phone # for a rep in the U.S.A and was told he could give me the 800 # but it would cost me, I asked for his highest ranking contact here and was told he does not have a # but he could give me an email address at this point I was kinda upset and did not get it because I thought I could find a phone # myself. WRONG!!!!!! every number I call even reached a live switchboard operator and asked for someone in the U.S.A I was transfered to India.
