NotifyAlert.exe Takes WAY too much memory...
I don't have any of the run time errors or popup problems, but I want NotifyAlert.exe to stop loading at startup. I ran msconfig and couldnt find it. how do I keep it from coming on?
I would rather not remove dell support.
thanx,
Joe

- I have a sneaking suspicion that the bug with this program is crashing my laptop. Unfortunately, since it crashes almost immediately upon logging in, I can't get into the control panel to kill it. Clean boots aren't working, it's still trying to load from memory. I tried to manually remove it from it's program files location, a search on "NotifyAlert.exe", and deleting it's regkeys, but I still don't think I got it and I can't remove it in safe mode (the only mode that isn't crashing). Anything else I can do to get rid of Dell Support so my computer will run right again?
- Yeah, that is why I started this thread. Wanted to try getting rid of it on start up, but keep the original programs loaded... I think it's time a DELL rep answered this one with something other than "remove Dell Support". That is a cop out answer. If this Dell program is such a problem, stop installing it Dell, or fix it.

Go to Add & Remove Programs and remove Dell Support. You will not miss it and the notify alert message will go away.
