Power and performance problems..
Hey everyone, I was wondering if I can get any advices on what to do with my laptop, I have a XPS/Inspiron XPS Gen 2. I went plugged my wacom tablet in the usb and when the usb touched the port a spark came out and the computer shut down. When I turned it back on a message appeared on the screen saying:
"The AC power adapter type cannot be determined
The system can only boot with 130 W power adapter or greater
Strike F1 to shut down"
But pressing F1 won't work because it'll give you the same error. So I had to unplug the power, turn the laptop on using the battery and then i was able to plug the power back in when the system booted. I kept doing that for about a week. But after a week I realized the computer was being REALLY slow. So I checked my pc's properties and it said it was running at 797 Mhz.
Do you have any idea of what this is about? My warranty ran out so that's not an opt. But I have the feeling the laptop will die very soon... :/
