XPS 1st Gen Error Message: Power Supply Cannot Be Determined.
Whenever i plug in my power supply i get the error message: The AC Power Adaptor cannot be determined. This will prevent optimal system performance. i went through the step by step process and found that there are no frayed wires or damaged cords. there are no bent pins and the connector on the laptop is in good condition. My Laptop runs fine and boots up fine (i do get the ac adaptor message) but i have noticed it is a bit slower and doesn't handle games as good as it should. I have a limited income right now and don't want to spend 90 bucks on a REFURBISHED power supply (it is the only kind availiable to purchase from Dell). can anyone help? is it for sure a power supply?
