XPS Backlight Problems
Hey guys - I've read a bunch of posts, but I don't know if the topics I read really relate, so I'm posting.
I have a Studio XPS laptop (about 2 years old) that was working great until a few days ago. I have it set to "Do Nothing" when the lid is closed and plugged in. When I open the lid, I can see the screen coming on, but at about 45 degrees the backlight goes out or flickers. If it stays on I can get it to a comfortable angle if it stays on, but if I tilt it back further it goes back out again. I know it's the backlight because I can faintly see windows in the background. Is this some sort of connection issue? Or am I going to have to replace the LCD?
I'm more of a desktop person so not too knowledgeable on laptop hardware. Any help is appreciated.
Edit: If the screen goes off after tilting the lid too far back, I can get the backlight back by putting it to sleep and waking it.
