2007WFP Replacement Arrived! Some questions.
First of all, a big thank-you to ChrisM--the monitor arrived about four business days after I messaged him. Really impressive.
The good news--over DVI, the banding is mostly eliminated. Entirely acceptable. Color is good, text is sharp, correct revision, everything's fine.
However, I have one stuck pixel. It is around 1.5 inches from the top of the monitor, a little left of center. It is not stuck in a "hard" sense; the color shifts, so it is invisible if the color is pure blue, red, green, or black. It's most obvious on a white background, which is kind of the case a lot of the time in that region (web browsing, word processing, the sky in images, etc). So, obviously, it could be worse, but I am jealous hearing of people getting flawless displays! Especially since that pixel was NOT stuck for the first few hours of monitor usage.
So, I am wondering whether I should take a chance with another monitor. Am I even allowed to exchange this one? I am not interested in paying shipping/handling to avoid one dead pixel, especially not to get a monitor that could be *worse*. And, have people had any luck reviving dead pixels? i feel like there is some hope for this one since it wasn't initially stuck.
