2047 WFP Power button stuck or sometimes not working

Hey my on and off power button is broken on my Dell 2047 WFP. This is horrible. I have only had it for 2 months and this thing is already breaking down. How do i get dell to fix this? I have an extended 5 year warranty as well as the original warranty. I cant seem to get the technical support thing to work because i dont have that stupid number thing on the back and the monitor isn't listed.

    titaniumoutbreak,

If you only have an Order number associated with the monitor, you must call in,
1-800-624-9896. They will need the following information -
    Monitor 20 digit PPID number
    Name, address, phone, email address
    Order number

The ppid number, is it on the back? Also i heard Dell is being sued by the government based on customer complaints. Is this gonna affect the warranty if the company gets shut down?

    titaniumoutbreak,

The PPID number is on the back. It looks like this - CN-0HF730-46633-G6L-07AL. I cannot discuss any suits.
