2407wfp & Explorer 8300hd

Hi,
I just got a Scientific Atlanta Explorer 8300HD, I have tried to connect it to my 2407wfp through HDMI-DVI and through component, both to no sucess.

When I switch to composite input I recive nothing but a black screen.

When I switch to DVI I recive the message: Out of range signal.  Cannot display this video mode.

Also when i switch to composite input with the DVI plugged I recive the message.  Your HDTV does not support HDCP.  Please use the YPrPb component connection to watch telvision.

Can anyone help me figure out how to get HD content on my monitor?

It has 1080i, 720p, 480p 480i.  I'v tried them all on the componete  to no luck.  When i try to change the setting with the HDMI -> DVI it always stays set of 1080i.
