Max temperature on Dell LCDs

Hello all.  I've recently bought a Dell 1901FP Ultrasharp monitor. It runs fine and with no dead pixels.  But looking at the specs on Dell's site worries me with the maximum operating temperature of 95 degrees F.  During the summer it can get really hot here in Boston and I don't have AC.  Is this something I should be concerned with?

    Nah, I'm sure in testing it went through conditions much worse than what Boston in the summer can inflict. The ambient specifications are usually very generous in their lattitude. You know how on the interstate a posted speed limit of 65 will generally get you a 75 allowance. Same for most monitors. A posted 95 max operating temperature will get you 105.

    But beware, those LCD speeding tickets can really cost you. :-)

    If you have a room fan going for you, it would likely be OK.  (I noticed Window A/C units are cheap these days, less than 100 bucks new, made in China.)
