U2417H, audio setup, Skype, Zoom
Thank you for this information.
This appears to resolve my issue as well, but want to confirm.
Will this remedy my audio issue for web conference sessions (e.g., Skype & Zoom)? I don't want to have to continue disconnecting my Dell laptop from my monitor configuration when running these sessions in order to have audio (microphone and playback).

You lost me. That other thread pertained to how to get audio from the U2417H Audio Line out jack using external speakers. The U2417H does not have a mic. So you have to use the Operating System- Sound-Recording to manually choose the Mic device for those software applications. Then do the same for the Playback. In both, you cannot choose the U2417H.
