Well, as obvious workaround you could use cmd line (or script) to deposit tapes. Something strange happens and via GUI this doesn't work (it hits timed out).

Could you exactly describe the step in details what do you do and how when doing deposit from the GUI (and what do you see on the sreen as direct consequence of your action)?

Do you get the prompt response from the GUI? Just out of curiosity - do you see the same issue with withdraw?

If the same operation fails from GUI, but works from cmd I would suspect some kind of bug (in NMC code most probably). I don't have library with I/E cap to test next to me, but if this is generic bug support should be able to confirm it quickly. What happens if you try withdraw - do you get the same? (failure with GUI and success with cmd)

If you go to Monitor->Operations do you see user input icon next to the deposti operation? If you right click to it and select Supply Input what happens?

    WE test it so:

If you go to Monitor->Operations do you see user
input icon next to the deposti operation? If you
right click to it and select Supply Input what
    happens?

And this work fine. I think that is the fix for the problem.

    Thanks for helping!

    regards
