NMM: Exclude one database from backup

Dear all,

how can I exclude one specific (quite big) database from the backup?

I would rather not like to specify every database as a single save set.

As far as I know the use of directives/skips doesn´t work with database backups. In an older thread I found the "-h" parameter, which seems to be omitted...

Maybe important: the DB server is a "always-on group".

Does anyone have an idea?

Thank you!

Databases and preferred backup node detection(s) happens dynamically for the AlwaysOn group backup.  Due to that it does not exclude particular database.

Did you try to include -h parameter in the Client followed by the database (i.e. nsrsqlsv.exe -h ) ?

    Yes, I tried that in several different ways  (e.g.... -h , -h MSSQL$ # : ) - no success.

OK.  I would suggest you to file an RFE with the use case.  You may want to include me in the RFE (elango.chockalingam@emc.com)
