Unable to backup Virtual Node of a Cluster

OS: W2K3 R2 - NW 7.3.3 built 510.

I have 2 Physical Nodes (PNODE) and one Virtual Node (VNODE)

I have configured my two (PNODES) and my (VNODE) as instructed by the doc. Both my (PNODES) are Storage Nodes. I can back up my PNODES but I am having problem with my VNODE.

In my VNODE client configuration I have made the necessary entry in the Remote Access fields and in the Storage Nodes fields I have entered my two PNODES devices. My directive on the VNODE is set to "ALL".

When I initiated my backup nothing happened, I enter a waiting mode, the volume is not mounted.

Also, I have lots of shared folders on my VNODE, but I notice the by specifying ALL I only see the Q drive in the waiting entry and not all my data.

I changed my Save set from "ALL" to specific drives ( ie: D:\ ) and now I get an error message;
"Probe job had unrecoverable failure(s) for each drive I specified in the save set.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Go to active node and do:
    save -vvvvv -s -c VNODE (you can replace -vvvv with -D3 for more verbosity)

    Unless I'm mistaken, Q is quorum disk and that one is usually available under different VNODE name than the one where your data is.

    Hi,

    I did the test you mentioned and I got "RAP" error. I also notice that my Pool was not being seen. So I went back to the server and oddly enough I missed included my Group in my Pool config.

    This alone did not solve the problem. I had to use "pathownerignore" as instructed in the doc.

    My backup is now running.-:)

    Thanks for your help.
