6224 uplink trunk or general and access to second switch

Perhaps my searching skills are lacking, but I can't quite find the answer I'm after.

I have a 6224 configured and functioning with four VLANs - 10 100 200 and 300.  I've added 10Gbe modules to the back and racked a second switch, with an uplink cable between the switches on XG2.

I've configured the management IP to be in VLAN 10 on both switches with the same subnet and gateway, and set the XG2 port to trunk mode. However, I cannot access the new switch across that trunk to finish the config for setting other ports to the appropriate VLANs.  I tried general mode, as well, with allowed VLANs, but no luck there, either.

I'm pretty sure the way I have the switches configured, any traffic coming in on any given port should be considered to be in their appropriate VLANs, so I shouldn't need to set VLAN tagging on each end device.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Edit:  I figured out where I went wrong (I think) configuring the trunk.  However, while the new switch is pingable via the network, the management GUI does not come up.  I just get "Unable to connect" in the browser.

Edit redux:  After mashing around with commands telling me they are invalid and such, I finally figured it out with creating https certs and turning on the https service.  I guess I'm done here, for now.
