S5200F-ON Series switch configurations - Reverse fan

Hi,

We've had a few S5248F-ON switches installed into our data centre, top of rack.

The airflow from the fans is currently blowing hot air into the cold aisle.

Looking at the spec sheet it seems the fans are reversible, is this something that can be done from the software side or is it pre-configured at the purchasing stage?

Thanks

    Hi,

It is preconfigured from the factory. Page 9 https://downloads.dell.com/manuals/all-products/esuprt_ser_stor_net/esuprt_networking/networking-s5232f-on_setup-guide_en-us.pdf

If it is a new purchase you may be able to get sales to assist with getting the other fans, as it is a user replaceable part, but not sold individually.

Howdy, we recently purchased several Z9332F-ON switches with the need to mount them with the ports on the hot aisle. We had to order reverse PDUs and fan kits for each. I'm not sure if they provide a kit for the S5200F-ON series.

Here's the description from our quote:

Dell EMC Networking Z9332F-ON AF Kit AC-PSU and Fan PSU / IO CK

    SKU: 450-AIWE

    Hi mhanby,

Yes, a reverse airflow option exists. The best option is to order through sales when you order the switches. Let us know if you have any additional questions.

    Hi @DELL-Josh Cr

I just saw this post.  Do you have any documentation / spec / manual for 450-AIWE ?  Need both fan and PSU.  Thanks.
