    Hi qiening,

I will be glad to assist you, but I would like to get few information:

    (1) Do you use the same WI-FI card that came along with the computer?

    (2) The Service tag of the Laptop.

I request you to send a private message with your system service tag. Please accept my friend request, click on my username and click ‘Start conversation’ to send the service tag.

I think it is all because of Dell's doggy wifi card, and I tried all the things you advised, but nothing changed. Well anyway thanks a lot for your help.

    qiening,

Starage it works differently on the Aliemware. I'll remember that and ask for an ipconfig /all log on Alienware systems.

Go to Drivers & Downloads enter your service tag number, then select your operating system. Under Network, download and install the latest drivers.

    Try these tweaks...

Start, control panel, device manager. Click on Network and then right click on your wireless adapter, left click properties, power management. Uncheck the box, allow computer to turn off this device to save power.

Click on advanced and look and see if your adapter has Antenna diversity. Some adapters have this and some don't. I'm not sure your adapter has it. Try changing Antenna Diversity from Auto to Aux. (If your adapter has this, can you please leave me know so I can add it to my notes. Thanks)

Go to the power options, and changed the Wireless Adapter Setting, from Maximum Power Setting to Maximum Performance.

Can you run an ipconfig /all log, it may show something

What virus program and firewall are you using?
