hi there

been working on this all day to no avail,

i have an old latitude CPXh notebook running XP Pro and i'm trying to connect to a wireless network generated by a Dell Dimention 2400 that is connected to a belkin wirless ethernet bridge.

The belkin 802.11g wireless notebook network card will not work with my latitude notebook, everytime i install the software the system freezes half way through the driver installation.  The little bits of paper that fly through the air from folder to folder on the screen pause and won't carry on until i disconnect the network card from the cardbus slot.

I have tried: using the software that came with the card

                   updating the cardbus driver on the notebook

                    installing a compaq driver for a similar device

                    reformating the hard disk

                     reinstalling windows

                     telekinesis

                    the lot.....

 

please help if you can.
