intel wireless 2100 - loses connection upon standby
Whenver I close the lid on my Inspiron 8600 and the machine goes into standby, the wireless connection is lost. When it comes out of standby, the connection is not available and you are forced to go into the utility program and manually hit connect
Do you have the most recent driver for the 2100? Here's Dell's description...

The "fixes" list mentions suspend/resume problems.
How about
Microsoft's "Wireless Update rollup package"? Some people have had better luck using XP's built-in support, others the ProSet utility that comes from Intel. You might want to try it both ways...but not both at once!
