Mobile BroadBand connection

Hi; I have a Dell Latitude D620 laptop, and it has a place at the back under the battery for the Mobile SIM card. I'm living on egypt. I like to know how to make this mobile work. When i talk to My mobile company "Vodafone", the customer service didn't know how to make it work. I like first to know how can i get the type of the mobile broadband connection that i have. as i see there are alot of drivers on the Dell site, but i don't know what is mine. so how can i know what is the attached mobile type. Thank you so much.

Hello! I have different problem with Mobile BroadBand on Latitude D620. I have a slot for SIM under the battary but in BIOS there is "not installed" infront of Cellular Wireless. What can this mean?

All D620's have that slot as that is how the plastic case is designed. Just because you have the slot, it doesn't mean to say you opted for that component when you bought it.

Chances are when you bought the laptop you selected to not have a SIM slot device. I'd look at your original spec/order and see what you bought.

    Hi All,

Also, only certain vendors require the SIM card.
