Old System wireless help
Okay. I have an old Dimention XPS b866r. I have a linksys pci card installed and it interfaces with the network but page cannot be displayed. I can also ping yahoo and google and recieve all 4 packets. I have tried in IE, Firefox and Mozilla. all page cannot be displayed. I have called linksys and they had no clue. Please Help me.

Windows 98 SE. There is no ethernet port on the computer. i can connect to the internet through the same router using my laptop.Go to Start > Run and type winipcfg then hit the enter key. Make sure the wireless network adpater is selected, then click on the More button. Write down and report here the IP address, Gateway Address and DNS server address (you can leave off the last three numbers of each if you wish, replacing the last three numbers with x). With this information we may be better able to figure out whre the problem is.

Which version of Windows are you running? Can you connect through a wired ethernet connection (this might tell us whether or the problem is software or hardware)?
