I can't get working the wirelles adapter, I have tried all the factory drivers (US & non US), but nothing. In the Device Manager is not present after all, in turn in the bios is turned on, but when i press the Fn+F12 key in windows mode nothing happens.i have set up the Intel PROSet Wireless-aplication too and drivers but not even this is functioning. Why?
Does your wireless network adapter show up in Device Manager when you expand the listing for Network Adapters? Did you recently reinstall Windows on this machine? If so, did you install the Desktop System Software and the Chipset drivers before attempting to install any other device drivers?
You can try installing the chipset drivers now and then installing the wireless network adapter drivers. Sometimes this works, sometimes it doesn't. If it doesn't work, you may have to start over, reformatting the hard drive, reinstalling Windows, then installing the drivers in the correct order.
So, it was reinstalled for 2 months.Generally I set up the sound video and lan adapter.Should I install the cipset driver too?And no, the wireless network adapter is not showing up in the Device Manager when i expand the list.
I have reinstalled te operating sistem, and set up everithing in the correct order.(Chipset, Video, Network...) but still nothing. The wireless adapter is still not present in the device manager, in turn in Bios is turned ON.It seams as it would not exist, why?i have updated my bios earlier to v. A09, could this be a problem, should I download the latest chipset driver?I have tried the Dell Diagnostics, after I boot from the CD and run the diagnostisc in the Network category the wireless adapter is not present...!So it means not only in windows mode is gone.
Yes, you should check under the MiniPCI card door to make sure the card is present, seated, and connected to the the antenna wires. See the following from the service manual for your computer:
Incredible, I have removed the wireless adapters cover and it is not there!!How can this posibble?I mean I have bought my inspiron 1300 brand new about 4 months, but why the wireless card is missing?Should i return it to the shop, or were there any models that came witouth this card?
There wireless adapter is an option when ordering. Check your invoice to see if you chose this option when you ordered your computer. If it is on the invoice, then you will have to contact Dell to get it. If it is not on the invoice, then it means you didn't select the option and you will now have to purchase the wireless adapter if you want wireless.
