wpc54g wireless problems with 1100
i've been having some problems with the linksys wireless g card. i set it up and it was working the first time but when i turned off my notebook, the next time i use the internet it only works for about 30 seconds then the signal is entirely lost. even when i do have internet for those short 30 seconds or so, the wireless connection icon on the taskbar shows an X. is there a way to correct this? i have updated all drivers and stuff for the card and the TI controller.... i don't know what else to do. i'd call tech support at dell or linksys but from what i've heard they discriminate people... please help, i'd hate to have this hundred dollar card go to waste.....

How can you make the discrimination accusation on hearsay?? By TI controller do you mean the 22mb "b" or 108mb "g"? If so, try logging to the router (your controller?) and disabling the 4x capability.
If this is not right, you need to be a lot more specific so we can help.

What do you mean tech support at DELL or Linksys discriminates people? What does that even mean? Why are they going to treat you differently?
Call Linksys tech support. I dealt with them in the past and they were okay. I suppose it all depends which support rep you get.
