I currently have a Poweredge 2800 that was purchased without a tape backup. The previous server, not a Dell, had a brand new Certrance Travan 20GB SCSI. After failed attempts to purchase a power cable from Dell that would allow for the installation of this internal drive, I have purchased an external USB case. I have connected the tapebackup as an external USB  which the Power Edge currently recognizes but I just learned from Veritas that my Backup Exec 9.1 SP 3  isn't compatible with USB.

 

 

I need a solution that will work.
