MD1000 array work with a Poweredge R640?
We are curious as to if we can use 2 older MD1000 arrays with a newer Poweredge R640 server. Is this possible? What would we need to purchase to make this happen?

Thanks Daniel. Can you advise on what card we would need to purchase? I'm not positive what we'd need to get.

You probably can, but it would not be supported/validated. The external storage controllers validated for the MD1000 would not be validated for a system as new as the R640. You would need to find an external storage controller that will work with the MD1000 and review the R640 slot specifications to see if there is a slot that would meet the requirements of the card.
