We have PowerEdge R620 servers in our control room. In that one server is having iDRAC issue (Fan at full speed, No server display). I am trying to follow this guide to update iDARC through sd card
Can I directly install 2.65.65.65 iDRAC version in this method or one by one install all these 2.10.10.10, 2.21.21.21, 2.50.50.50, 2.63.60.62, 2.65.65.65?
1. Does any SD card will work, like a micro sd card with an SD adapter, or do I have to get Dell vFlash sd card?
2. Is there any additional procedure required? The server is currently UP and running a SCADA application. By additional procedure, I mean do I have to restart the server and insert the sd card at a particular point during startup or can I insert it now while the server is running the installed application without any restart or stopping the applications?
3. We have two similar servers showing iDRAC initialization error in different locations and in only one rear led blinking, in the other the led is constantly ON (if my memory serves me right). As per the recovery procedure, the led should be blinking. Is there any way to force the server to read the SD port, or is it not recoverable in that particular server?

Hello AthulSNair,
I did not find a video but you can use vFlash media card slot #6, Page 7, Owners manual -
https://dell.to/3XNnU2Y
Since your current version is 1.66.65.00, try this one first
File Format:An application
File Name:iDRAC7__1.66.65__A00.exe
Execute the file to extract firmimg.d7

If that doesn't work you can try the one you have from the iDRAC8_2.10.10.10_A00.exe .
If you can get it to take then you can use the step it up using the versions you have listed.
