R740 / R740xd storage controllers
Hi,
Some docs advertise that H330 and H350 controllers only works with R740 and HBA355e only works with R740xd.
About HBA355e I see that doc where R740 appears as compatible.
Could someone confirm if all of these controllers are compatible with R740 and also R740xd?

The HBA355e is the successor of the 12G SAS HBA which are both simple passtrough HBA without RAID, Cache or BBU. Designed to connect Tape, and external RAID Arrays or JBODs for software designed storage.
The 12G SAS HBA isnt available any more so HBA355e is supportet in 15Gen Server and within the R740(xd) as shown in your table and the pdfs.Warning: Connecting a Dell SC (Compellent) SAS Storage on the HBA355e will not work and of course not supportet.
