I want to share with all of you my problem.

Most of time my server PE2850 restarts/boot-up, there is a message "Memory/battery problems were detected. The adapter has recovered, but cached data was lost".

I tried to install Windows server 2003, and I got error message "setup cannot format this disk".

I have been instructed to re-sit all cards (riser card with RAID controller, RAID key, etc...). After going thru with all trouble-shootings over the phone and emails; nothing helped. I tried to replace original hdd's with another 2-hdd set, and the problem was still. So, I contacted Dell and they sent me a service tech and parts (Riser card with RAID controller, RAID key, RAID memory). After replacing parts, my server was up and running again.
